Fall Cup

Sign up now for the Women's Golf Assoc. of MA's 2012 FALL CUP. Players
are needed to defend the Captains' title of 2011 Fall Cup Net Champions.

Participating clubs, divided into Regional Cups, play 18-hole (net) matches
against other teams in the same cup. Regional matches, played on the Cape,
will be Thursdays, Sept. 6th, 20th, & 27th.

Each Regional Cup winning team qualifies for the club championship on Wed.,
Oct. 10th at Wedgewood Pines in Stow. The 18-hole better-ball match will
determine the top gross & net FALL CUP teams in the state.

Each team consists of 6 players (+2 substitutes) who play as twosomes in a
better all of partners format. In the Nassau format the front 9, back 9 &
18-hole scores are worth 1 point each to the winning twosome, 1/2 point to
both twosomes if tied. The combined handicaps of the team will be used to
determine the seeding against the opposing team.

The host club can decide if they will have a shotgun start or provide tee
times. You will pay for lunch and a cart (even if you don't stay for lunch &
decide to walk if permitted). Each player on the 6 (+2 substitutes) person
team pays $20 to compete in the FALL CUP.

To compete in the 2012 Fall Cup you must:
          * be a member of WGAM
          * have a hcp. index of 30.4 or less as of 9/1/12
          * enter 20 scores from the Northeast region in 2012
          * be available for all matches (subs are available for emergencies)

     The team will consist of the players with the 6 lowest hcp. indexes
                                   of those who sign up.
