      18-Hole Women's Association
nnnn
Association members must have a USGA handicap maintained at The Captains.
The handicap season starts April 1, 2011.

The USGA Handicap System enables golfers of differing abilities to compete
against each other on an equitable basis.  Players should try their best on every
hole in every round & and post their scores! Remember, you only play to your
  handicap 25% of the time!

POST ALL SCORES: The handicap formula selects your 10 BEST ROUNDS out of the
last 20; a few bad rounds have little impact on your handicap.

SNOWBIRDS - POST WINTER SCORES:  When you return to The Captains, you
must post all scores* made in locations where the handicap season is active.
If you are using the same GHIN number down south as you use at The Captains,
  the scores will carry over.
*You only need to post the last 20 scores.

PARTIAL ROUNDS:  If you complete 13 or more holes - post an 18-hole score.

If you complete at least 7 holes - post a 9-hole score.  For the holes you don't
complete, post PAR + any HANDICAP STROKES you would've had on those holes.

WHAT IF I PICK UP AND DON'T COMPLETE A HOLE? : If you're out of a hole and
pick up (or concede the hole in match play), post the score you most likely would
  have made
, not to exceed your Equitable Stroke Control maximum.

EQUITABLE STROKE CONTROL:  ESC is the maximum score you can take on a hole
FOR HANDICAP PURPOSES ONLY.  This is based on your course handicap (not your
index).  It can change depending on your handicap and the course you are playing.
