Captains Challenge Trophy
The Captains Challenge Cup gives Association members the opportunity to play inter-club matches at other courses on the Cape. Each tournament consists of 3 inter-club matches. Each club competes head-to-head against all other clubs in the league.
A match consists of 6 players from one club vs. 6 players from another club. The 6 players compete in 3 two-person flighted teams; the flights (A, B, & C) are based on handicaps. Format is best ball of the two-some (four-ball) match play. Each hole is worth 1 point, ties are worth 1/2 point. Points accumulate for each team for every match & for each club for the season .
The Captains Challenge Cup
has ended after 6 years of
inter-club competition. The
trophy will reside permanently
at The Captains Golf Course
after The Captains team won
the 2011 championship, their
4th in 6 years.
