Your tee time will be e-mailed to you by The Captains* if your e-mail address is registered with the Pro Shop. Tee times are also posted on the Assn. bulletin board and available on the phone-in reservation system by Sunday afternoon. *Ignore the 'team captain' listed on your email!
Please, support your teammates & make every effort to golf if you sign up!
However, if you must cancel beforeTuesday, call a Monthly Coordinator (listed in your Assn. book); to cancel on Tuesday morning only, call the Pro Shop at (508)896-1716 ext. 104. If you don't show up and don't cancel, you may forfeit play the following week. Emergencies are taken into consideration! In case of inclement weather or course closure, the Monthly Coordinators may cancel play. When possible, players will be called and asked to call the other members of their group.
Arrive 20 minutes before your tee time! First check in at the Pro Shop then go to the Galley Grille and check in with the Monthly Coordinators. You can sign up for a Chip-In Pool ($ .25/player) &/or a Gross Birdie Pool ($1/player). Proceeds are distributed for each pool to participants who chip in or score a birdie (gross) that day. Please useexact change.
Each group should make every effort to speed up play to make golf more enjoyable for all. Make sure you are within a shot of the group in front of you at all times. If you are out of the hole, pick up and move on --- teammates should encourage others to do so to speed up play!!!
Everyone should be prepared to be assigned captain of your foursome. If you are assigned captain for the day, it's your responsibility to:
* collect $3/player for the day's prize pool * keep your team's official scorecard (pre-stroked) * ask a teammate to keep a 2nd card so she can sign/attest the
official card * after completing the 18th hole, record the 'TIME IN' on the card * turn in signed/attested card & prize $ to Monthly Coordinators * post your teammates scores - No Exceptions!
In team competition, you often will play to either 95% or 90% of your course handicap, depending on the game (USGA recommendation). The official scorecard will show the hcp. percentage to be played, each player's % hcp/course hcp, and her local #; it will also give a brief description of the game format.
