Opening Day Luncheon and Scramble
Traditionally, the golf season officially opens with a 9 hole scramble with the 9 Hole Women's Association. Luncheon follows. This year we will again dine at the lovely Wequassett Inn in Harwich.
For the scramble, teams are mixed with 18 holers and 9 holers. Usually, everyone must use at least 1 drive each. It's a fun event with prizes for the winning teams, and closest to the pin prizes.
When the spring weather cooperates, there is nothing nicer than wine/cocktails on the grounds of the Wequassett Inn, overlooking Pleasant Bay. And if the weather rains out the golf, it's still a great lunch! And fun to catch up with everyone after the long winter.
